Empowering Decisions with Analytics & Insight

Data has rapidly become the lifeblood of the games industry, and GABI 2016 is the the original forum entirely dedicated to analytics and BI within this fast-paced industry.

After a highly successful meeting last year, the 3rd Annual Game Analytics and Business Intelligence Forum 2016 will take place in London once again, on 20th-22nd September 2016.

This year we look not only at the cutting edge of analytics, but after the heated discussions at GABI '15 we have more discussion and talks scheduled on the relationships and dynamics between the people doing the analysis and those actually using the data to impact the games, with two dedicated talks from producers!

Top Highlights for 2016

  • Keynote Address from King – Chief Scientist Vince Darley discusses machine learning, predictive analytics and the business impact of data!

  • The Division case study – Massive’s biggest launch to date, and a hugely ambitious AAA title in general, Alzbeta Kovacova walks us through their lessons learned from the launch, and how analytics supports design for new DLC

  • The Producer’s perspective – as internal customers of the analytics team, data can have a huge impact on the direction and strategy of a game. King, Scopely and Social Point discuss the impact of data, and how analytics and production can work together more effectively

  • Cross-industry insights – new for this year, we’ve got two talks from people outside of the games industry, Spotify and easyJet, to give us some insights into how other industries tackle analytics and BI in the hopes of inspiring us to think differently!

The 3rd Annual meeting will bring together Analytics/BI Managers, Directors and VPs, Technical Directors and Marketing Directors from game developers and publishers across Europe to discuss some of the key challenges faced on a daily basis, and finally build a community of managers in this essential field in the games industry.
